The Nazis still exist in California

January 7, 2010

Nazis?  The Adolph Hitler Nazis?  No.  I’m talking about the PC Nazis. Politically Correct Nazis, the ones who are immune to free thinking, opinion, and the exchange of ideas.  I’ve been writing my blog for about three months and I just got kicked off a website (a certain California motorcycle e-commerce website wholly devoted to MC tours, banner click revenue and things you can purchase on the website).  Why?  I wrote an article about my thoughts on how a 2010 Harley Davidson XR1200 compared to an old 1985 Honda Nighthawk S.  This of course started a lively discussion.  Read the article, do you think I’m a Harley basher?

Post your comments here and I’ll post your thoughts.  I then wrote another “Sport bike Schmackdown” review comparing a KTM Super Duke to a child’s toy.  THAT was the last straw and they BANNED me.

It seems that in this world of soft and fuzzy, lack of personal responsibility, frappe latte’s we are so thin skinned that anyone with an opinion or honest thought is immediately surrounded by J. Crew wearing, Starbucks drinking, Oprah fans and beaten into submission with environmentally friendly natural hemp baseball bats.

We ride motorcycles, and that by definition makes us different. I’d hope part of that is having an open mind.

Amen brother! But don’t worry, the next time you compete at something you’ll get a trophy. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, just that you have leftish tendencies. Keep up the good fight and keep the sticky side down!

just read your ktm review and really liked it. i have a 990 smr and it really is a holigans bike… there are not too many times that i don’t get off that thing and just say well f”#¤ with a big grin.

I then just read your harley review to try find out why you were booted. I found no reasons. The review is very good and sounds very honest. I am not sure why people automatically jump to the conclusion that you review one bike and you refer to them all.

its childish of them to boot you because of a review.
i would be more pissed if i read what a brilliant bike it was went for a drive and then though you wasted my time and are a moron if you thought that was a good bike. Reviews should not be done by brand loyal people otherwise they are object right from the start.

Unfortunately this is not uncommon practice. For example mcn did a comparison against ktm and ducati..

How can a reviewer say the ktm is better but we chose the ducati based on looks? why bother riding the bike then. I basically stopped reading anything to do with mcn after that, there opions were not based on anything practical.

Your reviews are refreshing and something else, honest. Something that seems to be lost by other people and their sponsors (btw mcn has big ducati sponsored bucks comming in) keep it up.

Mind if I use that photo of you and Travolta in the upcoming Stowe Guide & Magazine?

    Best, Greg
